Valentines Day...2012

What Love looks like...

In the beginning it looked like fun - Sweet, new a blessing and a gift!

It was free and exciting as we planned our life together.

Love grew - Full of surprises, challenges - children - it multiplied!
Challenges can break you - and they can make you stronger.
When it is done God's way - it can last:

"Love is patient . . . . . "

"Love is kind."
"It does not envy or boast, it is not arrogant or rude . . . . ."

"It does not insist on it's own way; it is not irritable or resentful ,
it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth . . . . ."

"Love bears all things, believes all things
hopes all things, endures all things . . . . . "

"Love never ends."
I Corinthians 13: 4-8

Sometimes love looks like piles of laundry - more dishes - another trip to the store.
It can be flowers and sunshine

Love can be cooking and cleaning. There is always so much more.
It means work every day - not forgetting to sing

Love looks like
Washing dirty faces - even scrubbing the floor
kissing every skinned elbow - dusting every shelf . . . .

Love is really very simple -It's Dying Daily to self !

Romans 5: 8
"But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners Christ died for us"

Love looks a little different now than it did when we began
Now it's richer, stronger, truer

Resting safe in the Masters hands!

Happy Love Day!
every day

A walk with a friend...

Lani has a friend. He’s faithful. He’s fluffy. He has a big belly. He’s a stuffed bear. Perfect for hugging.
Lani carried him around the house, in the car, and on the beach during our photo shoot. He’s good company.
Good company makes the walk enjoyable. Good company makes you smile and laugh along the way. Good company encourages you when your tired, and even picks you up when you fall.
Good company is what the Lord has for each of us. He’s the Spirit who is also a friend. He’s our guide and our travel companion. And I wouldn’t want to walk through life without him.

But when the Friend comes, the Spirit of the Truth, he will take you by the hand and guide you into all the truth there is. He won’t draw attention to himself, but will make sense out of what is about to happen and, indeed, out of all that I have done and said.
John 16:13
